Healthy Smile Starts Here
Dental x-rays let us see what’s happening beneath the surface of your teeth and gums. They help us detect cavities, bone loss, infections, and other issues that aren’t visible during a visual exam. Our modern digital x-rays use very low radiation for your safety.
It’s a quick, painless way to get a complete picture of your oral health.
Benefits of getting an X-ray
- Detect hidden problems early – Spot cavities, cracks, and decay before they worsen
- Monitor tooth and jaw development – Especially helpful for children and orthodontic planning
- Identify bone loss or infection – Catch signs of gum disease or abscesses early
- Plan accurate treatments – Ensure precise placement of fillings, crowns, implants, and braces
- Ensure overall oral health – Provide a complete picture for better long-term care
All About X-Rays
What to expect during your X-ray exam?
You’ll be comfortably seated while we place a small digital sensor in your mouth to capture the images. The process is quick, painless, and over in just a few minutes.
Why taking X-ray matters?
X-rays reveal hidden dental issues—like cavities between teeth, infections, bone loss, and impacted teeth—so we can treat them before they become bigger problems.
How often should you get dental X-rays?
Most patients need bitewing x-rays once a year and a full set every 3–5 years. Your schedule may vary depending on your dental history and risk level.
If you feel persistent tooth pain, swelling, sensitivity, or unexplained changes in your bite are signs we may need new x-rays to investigate further.
Techology that improves your treatment
We use advanced digital x-ray technology that produces sharp, detailed images with up to 90% less radiation than traditional methods, allowing for safer, faster, and more accurate diagnosis.

Got Any Questions?
How often should I go to the dentist?
We recommend visiting the dentist at least every 6 months. Early detection of decay or gum disease makes treatment easier and less costly. However, your needs may vary, so we tailor recall visits based on your unique oral health.
How often should I brush my teeth?
The ADA recommends brushing at least twice a day. Avoid brushing immediately after acidic foods or drinks—wait about 30 minutes to protect your enamel.
Electric vs. Manual Toothbrush: Which is better?
Both are effective if used properly, but many studies show that electric toothbrushes remove plaque more efficiently. Brands like Sonicare and Oral-B offer features that help reach difficult areas and enhance your brushing routine.
When should my child first visit the dentist?
Children should visit the dentist as early as age 3—or whenever they can sit in the chair for an exam. Early visits help us monitor development and build good dental habits from the start.
What should I do if I have bad breath?
Bad breath is often caused by plaque, gum disease, or bacteria. Solutions include:
- Professional cleaning
- Brushing the tongue
- Flossing and using mouthwash
- Avoiding overly spicy foods
Persistent bad breath may signal a larger issue—schedule a visit if it continues.
